2008 Annual Business Meeting

Following yesterday's Multiple Choice Dinner, Pastor Bill began our Annual Business Meeting. The beginning of 2007 gave us challenges that, with God's direction and grace, were met by the congregation of Grace Bible Church. And as Pastor wrote in the Annual Report "All the news I am reporting and the ideas I am proposing are good and beautiful and to the glory of God Himself!"

Everett Sollars reviewed the Financial Report as our Treasurer, Crystal Hennig could not be at this meeting. We wish to thank her for her faithfulness and expertise in the work she does.

We express our appreciation to all who served during 2007 on our various committees and for those who will continue during 2008, we say Thank You! It is in working together for the glory of God that we accomplish what we do.

Charlotte Hunt, a long-time World Outreach Committee member, stepped down from her place on our Mission's committee last year . We thank her for her many years of faithful service and her leadership of our Grace Christmas Outreach each December. You will be missed!

Thank You's also to each of our Teachers .. be it Sunday School, Nursery, Wednesday evenings, or during Service times, Thank You.

A very special Thank You goes to Bob & Camilla McKee. For seven years they have served as teachers for Wednesday evening Christian Life Bible Studies. More than words can say, we appreciate the work and effort they have put into teaching the Word of God. They believe it is now time for them to turn this Wednesday evening ministry over to another of our very qualified teachers, Kevin Godin. Beginning the first Wednesday night in March he will lead a combined men's and women's class. Won't you plan now on joining us?

We are pleased and thankful to report that Bob McKee and Rob Roelofs were unanimously approved and elected by ballot vote to the office of Elder. They will assume their duties as Elders of Grace Bible Church at an Elder's Meeting this Tuesday evening, Feb. 12.

We have much to look forward to in 2008 and above all else, we desire to see the Lord glorified in all we do, say and think. He is the reason for our being who we are. It is His church we serve. By His grace, we anticipate many good and Godly things in this new year.

"Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, being made in the likeness of men."
Ephesians 2:5
