"The Bible Jesus Read"
Luke 4:14-22
"He traced in its passages every important fact about himself and his mission. He quoted from it to settle controversies with opponents such as the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Satan himself. The images - Lamb of God, shepherd, sign of Jonah, stone which the builders rejected - that Jesus used to define himself came straight from the pages of the Old Testament."
(Philip Yancy, The Bible Jesus Read, page 24)

Welcome Visitors!
What is a Bible Church? It is a group of people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our only salvation from sin, and who join for Bible study, for worship, for prayer, for service, and for fellowship. We focus on doing what the Bible tells us to do, because it is infallible and inerrant.
If you are looking for a new church home, where the people are not only moral, but kind and interested in others; where the Bible is deeply appreciated for who it helps us to become; where we attempt to honor Jesus Christ, our Savior, as Lord; and where you would be welcomed, please give us consideration.
We are pleased you are here today, and pray God's best for you. Please let us know your questions. Elders contact information is on the back of the bulletin.

Operation Christmas Shoebox
Please review the insert in today's bulletin about the Power of a Single Gift! We would like to minister to fifty children (or more) this year. This year, we are asking our church families to build their shoebox gifts at home. We will then collect them in early November, and then deliver them to the Dearborn collection location together. Please take as many boxes as you would like to fill from the foyer today. If you have any questions, please see Camilla McKee.

Kids for the Lord
Can you believe it? It has been a year since we began our Prayer Partner program. Many of you graciously volunteered. We have 17 children needing a Prayer Partner, so please consider volunteering again. The same guidelines will apply this year. The purpose is to have someone, other than a parent or grandparent (because we assume you are already praying for your child) praying for each of our kids in the class. All that is required is a willing heart to pray regularly for the child you will be given and give them an occasional card or small gift letting them know you are praying for them. I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure they receive a physical token as a reminder of your prayers for them. If you would like to volunteer to be a part of this program, there will be a sign up sheet at the welcome table in the foyer.
Thank you,
Sandy McGlassion
