Memorial Day, 2010

I was a proud veteran
That served my country well
To those that would listen
I had many stories to tell

We fought for America's freedom
In far away places on foreign land
Wherever the battle for democracy raged
America's finest made a stand

We fought for your future
And the right to remain free
For we saw what freedom meant
To those not blessed with Liberty

For you and yours
We would gladly have given our life
We faced the fears and perils of battle
We braved endless turmoil and strife

Please remember us veterans
And the sacrifices we made for you
Please share the blessings of freedom
Proudly wave the red, white and blue

Sermon by Pastor Bill Connell
"Calculating the Cost & Stragegizing for Results"
The Parables of the Tower Builder and the Warring King
Luke 14:25-32

********************
"The principle, that a whole nation has a right to do whatever it pleases, cannot in any sense whatever be admitted as true. The eternal and immutable laws of justice and morality are paramount to all human legislation. The violation of those laws is certainly within the power of a nation, but it is not among the rights of nations." - John Quincy Adams -

We are grateful this Memorial Day for the men and women who gave their lives in service to these United States of America. Their contribution to the cost of acquiring the greatest nation ever was immeasurable. May God us help keep our land!

Anderson High School Cook-Out, 2010

Anderson High School Cook-Out, May 20, 2010

Many, many thanks to all who volunteered ... to those who donated food and/or money ... to the Sollars brothers for once again providing hot dogs & hamburgers ... to Joel Ashby for taking these pictures ... and especially to our Lord for allowing the sun to shine on this day of outreach. May what was done and said be remembered by those who came from Anderson High School and may the Lord give fruit for the seed that was sown.
